Long-term partner of Lost Paradise, Red Bull chose to step things up a notch in 2024 as they looked to capitalise on the popularity of their product amongst the festival crowd.
Brief:
Layers were asked to help create an engaging and value-adding activation for Red Bull at Lost Paradise. In true Red Bull style, subtle and stylish integration was to be prioritised over heavy-handed branding.
The activation should add value on all three sides: the festival, the punters and Red Bull.
The Idea:
In the centre of Lost Paradise’s retail and food area lies My Mum’s Disco - the singalong stage of your dreams.
Pop by Mum’s place and cue up a track on the jukebox. Stocked with thousands of nostalgic guilty pleasures and a booming sound system, the music at My Mum’s Disco is chosen entirely by you and designed to get you dancing.
Hosted by two wonderful Mums and decked out in iconic decor, My Mum’s Disco is an intimate stage crafted to feel just like home - literally. Styled like a house and covered with framed photos, knick-knacks, vinyl records, furniture and creature comforts, My Mum’s Disco is a themed interactive three-room stage (lounge, dining and kitchen) that becomes an epicentre of nostalgic throwbacks and one hit wonders all festival long.
Situated beside Mum’s place, Layers converted a Red Bull container bar into an iconic Australian shed. Wrapped in corrugated iron and situated within Mum’s white picket fence line, Red Bull’s hero bar at Lost Paradise blended smoothly amongst the furniture, with 3D printed Red Bull iconography and a custom neon sign (‘Great stories start with Red Bull vodka’) - plus a selection of exclusive cocktails and Red Bull favourites.
Unable to resist the siren call of their favourite one hit wonder, the Red Bull takeover of My Mum’s Disco drew punters from all over the festival as they passed between stages; becoming one of Lost Paradise’s most popular spaces in 2024.
